Περίληψη:
Since the first report of the box tree moth, Cydalima perspectalis
(Walker, 1859) (Lepidoptera: Crambidae) in northern Greece in 2013, the
pest has gradually expanded its range to a total of eight administrative
regions in the country. A survey consisting mainly of citizen science
occurrence records provides a new insight on the distribution of the box
tree moth in Greece. The data collected circumscribe invasion into
boxwood Buxus sempervirens L. stands, especially at Mt Olympus National
Park. The updated invasive status and the ecological risks are discussed
with particular reference to the Natura 2000 area in Mt Olympus.
